Crop a photo, refine its brightness and contrast, and export the finished image from Photo Studio. This walkthrough uses a house photo from the Stock library and saves the result as House exterior crop in Media Library.
Before you begin
Sign in to WundertreOS and check that the organization selector shows the organization where you want to work.
1. Open Photo Studio
Select StoryCraft - Content & Media in the left navigation, then open Content Hub. Under STUDIOS, select Photo.
Photo Studio opens with a Start with a photo area in the center, content tabs on the left, and a properties panel on the right.
2. Choose a photo
You can start with Open a photo, choose a photo from Files, or browse Stock. To follow this example:
- Select Stock on the left.
- Select Unsplash.
- Enter house in the search field and wait for the results.
- Select a photo to place it on the canvas.
The example uses the gray wooden house photo by todd kent. The canvas sizes itself to the selected photo; this image produces a 2400 × 1600 canvas.
3. Crop the composition
Select the photo on the canvas. In the right-hand IMAGE panel, select Crop.
The crop controls appear above the photo with the instruction Drag or resize the photo under its frame.
- Drag a corner handle outward to enlarge the photo beneath the frame.
- Drag the photo to position the subject where you want it.
- Select Apply when the composition looks right, or Cancel to leave crop mode without applying the change.
For the house example, enlarge the photo slightly and center the house to create a tighter composition. The canvas remains 2400 × 1600.
4. Preview a look
With the photo selected, find ADJUST in the right-hand panel. The preset choices include None, Vivid, Airy, Fade, Punch, Noir, and Dream.
Select a preset to preview its effect on the canvas. This example previews Vivid, then selects None before making manual adjustments.
5. Refine brightness and contrast
Use the sliders under ADJUST to fine-tune the photo. Drag Bright and Contrast a little to the right, checking the canvas after each change.
In this example, both values are 0.1. Use values that suit your own image, and watch for bright areas losing detail or shadows becoming too dark.
The panel also includes Saturate, Blur, Warmth, Sharpen, Vignette, and a B&W switch. Use Reset adjustments if you want to start the adjustments again.
6. Review and save
Click a blank area outside the canvas to clear the selection and review the whole image. Check the crop, subject placement, brightness, and contrast.
Select Save in the upper-right corner. Wait until the status reads All changes saved before leaving the editor.
7. Export the image
Select Export… and choose a format:
- JPEG · high quality, universal
- PNG · lossless
- WebP · smallest
This example uses JPEG. Wait for the rendering progress to finish, then open Media Library and locate the new Photo Studio export thumbnail.
8. Give the export a useful name
Hover over the exported image in Media Library and select its pencil icon to open Edit media.
Replace the Title with a descriptive name, such as House exterior crop, then select Save. Confirm that the image card shows the updated title.
Expected result
You have a saved Photo Studio project and an exported image in Media Library. The house photo has a tighter composition, small brightness and contrast adjustments, and a name that makes it easier to find later.
