Before you start
Use the organization’s approved quiet-hour policy, response wording, legal business name, postal address, and sender name. These settings support safeguards; they do not by themselves establish that a messaging program is legally compliant or that email delivery is configured.
Review SMS defaults
- Open Settings → Messaging Compliance → TCPA / SMS.
- Review Enable quiet hours enforcement and the Quiet hours start and Quiet hours end fields.
- Review the default timezone used when a contact has no state on file, plus Use contact’s state to infer timezone.
- Review Require express written consent for marketing.
- In STOP / HELP keyword automation, review the comma-separated keyword lists and response text.
- When the intended changes are approved, select Save TCPA settings.
- Refresh and verify the settings remain as intended.
Keep consent and quiet-hour safeguards aligned with your organization’s approved messaging policy. The legal references displayed in this tab are product guidance, not a complete assessment of the rules that apply to your messages.

Review SMS keywords and response wording before saving approved changes.
Review email defaults
- Open CAN-SPAM / Email.
- In Required identifiers, review Business legal name, Physical postal address, and Default From name.
- Review the List-Unsubscribe, one-click unsubscribe, and List-ID controls.
- Review Auto-appended footer template (HTML). The interface provides placeholders for an unsubscribe URL and physical address and describes this footer as a fallback when outgoing content lacks those items.
- Select Save CAN-SPAM settings for approved changes, then refresh and verify.
The SMS and email forms have separate Save buttons. Saving one does not save the other.

Email safeguards and the footer have their own Save CAN-SPAM settings button.
Keep reply inbox setup separate
The Reply inbox card has its own setup and save behavior. The email identifiers form does not connect a mailbox, verify a sender domain, or send a test message. Handle those tasks separately when needed.
